Mat pilates
core to crown.
Full-body work on the mat, no reformer required. Small classes, careful cueing, real strength. Held in the infrared studio.

Strength from the inside out.
No machines.
A full-body workout that rebuilds the muscles you forgot you had. Quietly intense, low-impact, and surprisingly demanding the first time you try it.
Real core strength, not crunches.
Pilates trains the deep stabilisers around the spine and pelvis — the muscles that protect your back during everything else you do. Direct work that translates to lifting, running and sitting straight.
Flexbility you can actually use.
Mat Pilates builds range through control, not passive stretching. You learn to move into and out of length under load; the kind of mobility that holds up off the mat.
Supports bone and joint health.
Weight-bearing work without impact. Particularly valuable for over-40s and anyone working with osteopenia or recurring joint issues. The kind of training that ages well.
Wakes up muscles you forgot you had.
Hours at a desk teach the body to slouch. Pilates teaches it to lengthen and stack. Most people leave their first class standing taller — and notice it sticks.
Show up. Breathe. Leave Taller.
First time? Arrive ten minutes early. Mats, blocks and bolsters are provided. Just bring water and wear something you can move in.
Book Ahead.
Classes are capped to keep cueing personal. Pick a class on the timetable and reserve a spot online.
Class.
Warm-up, core work, full-body sequencing, and a cooldown. Your teacher offers modifications throughout, load up or back off depending on the day.
Settle.
Stretch what worked hardest, then enjoy a warm tea. A sauna afterwards is a quiet favourite for many members.
Pair with yoga for length and breath, or with infrared sauna for deeper recovery after.
Class pack, drop-in, or bundled in.

As a pilates instructor, I’ve experienced a lot of wellness spaces around Melbourne, and 5th Element is one of the best. The facilities are excellent, the staff are lovely, and the yoga, pilates, and breathwork classes help me feel balanced.
There are classes like yoga and pilates, plus they offer personalized nutrition tips. The trainers are super knowledgeable and supportive.
