Suspend Membership and Maintain Access to App
Please note that by submitting the below you will:
- Suspend your club membership
- Maintain access to our App with your training program for an access fee
The App will maintain your existing training program, and additionally you may choose to add a bodyweight or more generic gym (think bare essential hotel gym) program to suit your circumstances whilst on suspension.
Why is there a fee for App access you may ask?
- Because we pay our App company based on the amount of active users
- This cost is usually covered in your membership fee
- Your maintaining access to this 5EW service
Your App access fee is $17 per week of suspension (rounded up/down).
This will be calculated as x1 upfront payment which is then transacted from your regular payment details when you submit this form.
How does this work with my direct debits?
If you have any automatic payment due before the date you requested your suspension, it will be charged as usual. After your suspension, your next auto debit will be adjusted by the number of days you are away. In other words, we stagger billing around your suspension to ensure that you have a full billing cycle of access to the 5EW.
For example, say you’re billed fortnightly and were charged on Sep 1 and submit to suspend your membership from Sep 8 to 21. You’ll be able to access the gym and other services for 7 days before you’re on pause and once you’re back at the club, your next payment will be taken 7 days after your suspension lifts—on Sep 29. This means that you’ve had your full fortnight of gym access either side of your suspension. Rest assured this means you catch up for any time you have paid for when you’re back.
Suspensions cannot be less than 1 week, and not longer than 8 weeks at a time.
Please note suspensions must include an end date.
Please note automatic payments for all services such as membership, class subscriptions, personal training and otherwise will automatically resume on your requested date upon the end of the suspension.
It is your responsibility to keep track of the date your membership resumes so we suggest setting a reminder.
